DISABLED SEX BATTERER

Well it surely has been awhile, no?

San Diego resident Timothy Wayne Harris in 2006 was arrested for sexually molesting a developmentally disabled man he was mentoring

Harris later pleaded guilty to the crime and was sentenced to four years probation and told to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Since Harris pleaded guilty before the case could come to trial, details of his molestation were never released to the press but because of a plea arrangement, the judge dismissed charges of oral copulation and sodomy of an incompetent victim.

The victim, who lived in Perris, Ca., reported the molestation after Harris discontinued the mentoring regimen.

Though Harris was also sentenced to 555 days in jail, he received credit for time served and was allowed to walk out of jail a free man.
Valerie Zucker, who has since retired to raise a family, said the District Attorney's office agreed to the deal to spare the victim the "agony' of testifying on the witness stand.
